Ants. Why would I write about ants? They’re not cute, nor cuddly. Most of the time we consider them a nuisance. No one wants ants in the kitchen, or to unknowingly step in a hill made by fire ants!
But every animal or creature carries an energy. I found myself thinking on “Ant Energy” today as I watched them scurry along the ground on the patio. They’re relentless, persistent, ever present in the outdoors. They’re hard working, super strong, and they provide a thankless job.
Ants are the cleaner-uppers. They clean up dead bugs and creatures. They build, maintain and clean their own ant-hills. They take care of their queen and raise her babies. They do all this thankless work that goes on behind the scenes, unnoticed by most of us. I mean, could you imagine if none of the dead bugs ever got eaten by ants? We’d certainly be walking all over them on the ground. Gross.
Sometimes I feel like I’m dwelling in Ant Energy. Doing the thing, raising the kids, cleaning house, feeding everyone, being an entrepreneur.. having to be STRONG! Maybe next time these tasks feel like drudgery, instead of dwelling in Ant Energy, I can TAP INTO Ant Energy. I can take a page out of the little-noticed ant’s book, and step into that power. Maybe you can too.
